Women Criminal Defense Attorneys: Women’s Event in San Francisco

I have written before about the importance of having women’s events, both locally and nationally, so that women can connect and get to know other women criminal lawyers.

In June I posted about an upcoming NACDL event being held right before the NACDL annual meeting in San Francisco at the Keker & Van Nest offices.  The event took place at the end of July and was a terrific success. I met some fabulous women from the San Francisco area and from other parts of the country.  There were a number of wonderful sponsors, including the Bay Area Women White Collar Defense Association. I was completely impressed with the community of women criminal lawyers in San Francisco. Many of these women are powerhouses in the legal community and are breaking the white-collar criminal defense “glass ceiling.”

I met some phenomenal lifelong public defenders who are seasoned and skilled trial lawyers.  The strength and cohesiveness of the community of women criminal lawyers, both in private practice and public defenders, was impressive to say the least.  I wanted to share some pictures of the event below. And I hope that you will join us next time!
